In
my last blog post, l tried to unpack the giant slayer and l would like to
believe that you know understand that we all have the giant slayer in our lives.
We all have that one all more think, that we fear greatly. This think send
quivers in our body, we all can’t face it .When we try to look at it, and we
can’t fathom the task of bringing him down. Our minds have been so, conditioned,
that to us, the Philistine is undefeatable but. What keeps us working tirelessly
day and night is that the Goliath seems to be challenging us every day. To us,
he is always like ‘’I need a match, and who among you can challenge me and no
one seems, to have the guts to ask for a match with this ‘giant’
We
fear losing our monies, and this has kept us holding into our jobs, we fear
losing our marriages and this has kept you that far, in that abusive marriage,
we fear, losing our friendship and this has been dragging you into the pit of
peer pressure, we fear standing up and challenging our position and this has
kept you an underdog whom everyone can step on without complaining. The fear of
being labelled a snitch has kept us under the evil hand of corruption which we
watch day and night, and proudly necessity in the name of brotherhood and the
craze ‘’Ndonyika Yacho’’.The fear of telling each other and correcting each
other has kept us trapped in poisonous friendship full of back-biting and
mistrust.
I
have tried to exhaust all the fears that were in my mind, as l was writing this blog post and l know they
are not only ones, as they are a lot of fears you can add on, but the
underlying fact ,is these fears rest somewhere. They have neatly secured a safe
haven in your mind, and every day you seem to be comforting them through the
daily challenges you meet. They have occupied the neatest place in your brain
and any endeavor, innovation, discovery, talk etc., you are quickly reminded of those failures, that your brain
has heard of or experienced.
Fear
is nothing but an illusion of the perceived past and an estimation of the futile
which have neatly castigated into the present. They all trying to interpret
the present four you, they seem to be
giving you reasons why something cannot be done
and why you ought to conform to the set standards, failure of which fate
and history will soon catch up with you.
Today
l have come up with the hidden place, where there is the key to your freedom,
and that place is one other than your brain.
You
need to release that sling in your hand and kill that fear, and the easiest way
is to recondition your mind and tell it that fear is nothing but an illusion.
