Creating
Functional Relationships and Successful Friendships
In
one of the videos Strive Masiyiwa talked about something like, After
all get a life and we have been reflecting on this statement for a
while and we thought, Ooh yes he has been talking about some of us.
I think we all know these guys, who are successful, respected, rich,
honoured whom we all aspire to be like. They are like our role
models, and we wish we could be like them or even better but as you
try to look around most of them have uninspiring love lives, betrayed
friendships, unsuccessful relationships and when it comes to the
matters of the heart most of them are really struggling. This makes
Strive’s statement hold water, that maybe they need to get a life.
Now this seminar is not for them, but you and me, that as we go about
pursuing our dreams and on the journey of success we won’t miss it
but we rather try to get a life. It doesn’t mean you have to ignore
your dreams and aspirations but rather it is to create something and
live a wholesome life. It is not only about dating, but friendship is
also part of relationships and you need to create something that is
functional and long lasting.
It
is rather worrying that we witnessing rapid increases in number of
divorces, breakups, infidelity storms have become the order of the
day. We have turned to call it normal but why try beautify the devil
and remember it starts now. You need to get the foundation right, get
the principles and how tos now and you will enjoy the rest of your
relationship. Remember what Steve Jobs said on his death bed,
